Who We Are
Laguna Tech USA is a transcatheter heart valve company located in Irvine, California. The team comprises experienced TAVR engineers from Orange County’s small and large company heart valve ecosystem. Our engineers and affiliates have been selected due to their extensive experience in developing heart valve systems: frame and valve design, valve manufacturing, tissue processing, delivery system design, and valve product development. The full team counts > 60 patents in heart valve replacement to their name.
We are confident our device will successfully treat a large number of patients with unmet needs while providing physicians with simpler options to treat these patients.
In-House Manufacturing of Valve and Delivery System
Experience has shown that the ability to control the early design process in-house, and the ability to address and resolve quality, design, and manufacturing issues quickly is critical during the early stages of design and development. Laguna Tech USA manufactures and tests our valve and delivery systems in Irvine, CA, in certified Class 5 and Class 7 cleanrooms.
All manufacturing processes and materials have been implemented with consideration for process scaling as we move into the next phases of clinical development.

Our Team
The Laguna Tech USA Team is currently led by CEO Gilbert Madrid, with 30 years of leadership developing devices, 19 years in transcatheter heart valve design and development. The design and development team is comprised of highly experienced design and development engineers, technicians, and valves sewers with 15+ years of experience individually and 100+ years cumulative experience. Our core competency is transcatheter heart valves and delivery systems.
Our Clinician Advisory Team is comprised of the top interventionalists and surgeons in the US. They are experienced implanters, clinical trial enrollers, and company advisors.
